Programme profile
Biomedical Science is the study of life science subjects, which underpin our understanding of how the human body works. You will learn about the body's structure and function, from the level of organs and tissues to the molecular level, as well as how drugs are used to treat disease. You will major in one of the following subjects: Anatomy, the science dealing with the form and structure of living organisms; Biochemistry, the science of the molecular basis of life; Pharmacology, the study of the effects of drugs on living organisms; or Physiology, the study of the functions of the body, its component tissues, cells and fluids. The programme promotes small-group learning, allowing students to work in teams and interact with staff informally.
